We set out to solve a problem. Our customers solved so many more than we could have dreamt of. Turns out - VOOMcart carries everything life asks you to, and of course, groceries too!
I live an active life. I walk. I shop. I carry things. And for years, I did what everyone does: I struggled. Heavy bags, sore shoulders, multiple trips from the car, that painful walk home where the bag handles cut into your fingers until they lose circulation. There had to be a better way.
There wasn't. Not a stylish one, anyway — not one that let you walk naturally, with good posture, at your own pace.
The carts that existed were either flimsy and disposable — or if they had some style, they pulled unnaturally behind you. Not great for the wrists or rotator cuff.
So we set out to build one that fit the following description:
VOOMcart is a two-bin collapsible shopping cart built for people who move through life actively. It carries up to 70 lbs. It organizes as you shop. It folds flat. It turns on a dime. It pushes in front of you — ergonomically, naturally, the way your body wants to move. And it's built to last — has style, and is a durable cart you can be happy to be out in the wild with.
We built VOOMcart for the weekly grocery run, the farmers market, the walkable neighbourhood where you want to stop everywhere and carry it all home in one trip.
What we didn't account for was everything else life asks you to carry.
Turns out, VOOMcart was the perfect solution for all of it.
What surprised us was the many uses we didn't even think of.
The Costco shopper who wanted efficiency — and cleaner handles. The condo owner shuttling between the car, the unit, and the storage locker, and garbage room. The hostess rolling the cocktail setup to the backyard. The bike tour operator who made it her mobile office. The artist moving canvases to and from her studio. The balloon stylist who arrived at every event fully loaded and completely composed.
People moving dogs. People moving stage props. People moving their whole lives.
Life is full of things that need carrying. We just think you should be able to do it with your back straight and your head up.
